So they've used Gems and Long Time Running for the last two New Years Eve shows, what do you think they'll use this time?
I'm betting the set will be very similar to the rest of the Canadian Tour, hopefully with 3 encores.

Are we family is a shocker?...no. that would be boring and dull for the crowd.
in no right mind would the hip bring in the new year with are we family. sorry.
instead, I would go with a safe bet and say if its not hard time coming or long time running its gonna be the age old song for the girls - abac.
I would like to put my personal request in for elderado....at some point during the night.....and of course 38 years old....cause thats gonna happen...

Hey, don't want to hi-jack your post but I'm going to this New Year's concert and haven't been to any of the previous ones. The ticket says it starts at 8pm and I've heard that Hamilton rarely lets concerts go past 11pm because of union rates. Is it safe to assume that this will even make it to New Years???
I sure hope so; I don't want to be walking around Hamilton at 11:45pm trying to figure out where to go.
Any info is appreciated from you Hip vetrans!

Wish I could help with that but I don't know about Hamilton. But both of the previous new years shows went past midnight. seems weird they would say 8 pm start???
Anyway I think it could be Family because even though it's kind of boring in concert (IMHO) it has that long quiet fade...and that's just the kind of thing they usually do around midnight, as with Gems where they cooled it down a bit and jammed softly as the crowd yelled. But if they were to go with something older I bet it could be Escape is at Hand!

Whats left to become of us indeed...
I hope the occurances overseas dont hurt the preformances. They should use this concert as a medium to raise money for Red Cross, or whatever relief fund Canada has set up...
