Just curious to know if you guys have any good ideas about names for the DVD. The title of their live album is one of the best ever for a live album - it can be read two ways, as in both the literal meaning of the mural in Kingston and also (as I first thought many years ago when I was new to the band and didn't know about that) "The Tragically Hip - Live - "Between Us". How could they possibly top that?

I know Gord said in an interview that 2005 is "a year of living retrospectively", since that would be their 20th anniversary... I thought that was a neat phrase. It's a bit long, but it's the best name I can think of for the new DVD.

I hope they wil make, accually i know they will come up with a great name for the show. I just hope they release it, personaly i would buy it even if it were untitled, heck id pay 100$ for it

"Serving the Song"
"Times Beyond Our Heartbeat"
"Don't Save a Thing for Later"
"Winding Down The Pines"

When is the 'Greatest Hits' package coming out?
I'm wondering if the DVD will be released with this. Releasing a DVD with a CD seems to be the new incentive record companies are using to get fans who already have all a band's CDs to purchase the 'Hits' package.

I just realized; finding something in the lyrics as a name for the DVD is futile... there are so many awesome phrases. It'll probably end up being something completely new anyway. It's still fun going through the lines though... ooh, "Straight Lines Through Shadows", that's another, uh, never mind. I'll sit this one out...

I dig Chris's "The Tragically Hip Live Across The Nation" but I think that's more suited to a
collection of clips from a series of shows rather than one show in its entirety.
As much as I'd love to see a fully completely Hip-esque title for the DVD, I won't be surprised if it's as simple as "The Tragically Hip - Live at the ACC".
By keeping my expectations low, I'll be surprised and appreciative no matter what they call it!

I think the obvious choice that a typical band would use is: "The Tragically Hip: That night in Toronto"...But I can't see the Hip referring back to themselves, nor would I want them to.

Not a blatant self-reference, but appropos.

If they were to use a throwback to something earlier in their career, I think "Throw Away the Rudder" is as good a metaphor for their wild concerts and Gord's unpredictable antics as there's ever been...but I dig what lilbones is saying, I think they'll probably come up with something out of the blue but still profound...not unlike Live Between Us.

it's impossible for me to pick a title...i suppose anything with the double meaning of LIVE works for me.
i also really thought "The Tragically Hip - Live - "Between Us" is a brilliant name.
