I'll be there... congrats to all who got tickets... it took dedication listening to terrible, terrible radio but it will bring much reward...
There's still much to bust out on this tour (ie: 700 ft being the only non single from henhouse played to date), but will they at a concert for a radio stations' 10th anniversary? Sadly, probably not. I'm going to just go in thinking they'll do standard Singles and IBE set and be pleased if they pull out So Hard Done By. Damn, it's gotten to the point where I'll be happy if they just don't play Fireworks.
With that being said, I'm currently accumulating the appropriate articles of clothing for a Sherpa costume.

How did you have the patience? I listen, I call, I get a busy signal. Best case scenario, the phone just rings and rings and rings and rings. Then, the radio announcer comes back on and congratulates somebody. Ususally, the person responds with an excited "Alright!", or "That's Great!", when they find out that they have also won tickets to the movies.
It's mainly people that are not fans of the band that are winning, which really stinks. The other day, a question for giving away 2 Hip tickets was "Who got married in the Bahamas over the weekend?" Now, how much of a Hip fan do you need to be to answer that question? The winner responded with an un-enthusiastic "Ya, I'll go" after winning...but I know he was just looking forward to the Dairy Queen or whatever the hell coupons they were handing out.
After all the trips I've made, money I've spent, rearraging of my schedule I've done, the Hip are finally in my backyard and I can't go and see them. But, Joe Blow, who listens to whatever mainstream music is currently "hot in the clubs", can go see the Hip for free.
Congrats to all of you that got through. I'm not putting everybody in the same boat, I'm just a little bitter.

I'm heading down ticketless, going to sweet-talk, sneak my way in... anybody who wants to join me is welcome.
