The Molson Amp show on Canada Day did not sell out until a day or so before. And that was in Toronto on Canada Day!! Sometimes tickets go quickly near the end. Sometimes they just don't sell like they used to.

Increased prices, show falling on a weekday, all contribute. I'd assume they still do pretty well. It is strange though that some cities are not sold out yet.

The way I look at it is that it might be a good chance for a casual fan or for a friend who has never heard of the Hip to enjoy a show they might otherwise have missed out on, thus maybe even expanding the fan base.

Well, I have noticed that alot of my friends these days no longer want to see the Hip in the ACC or any other large arena. For alot of people after they see the Hip 10 plus times, and getting older, the whole idea of a hip concert wears off. That isnt me, but like I said, I know quite a few people my age who feel that way.

For example, I went to the k town show with 4 friends, back in my high school undergrad days, 12-15 of us would be going to a Hip show together.

I was looking at tickets for the Brandon show and I know it's still Brandon, but there's a ton of floor seats left.

On the other hand, Winnipeg sold really well which may have something to do with them being the first band to play the new arena. The only seats together for this show still available are in the upper deck.
