Okay, I've been to this club before to see a band, but this time is a little different...The Hip are the first headliner of the night...and that DJ Krush is the second headliner later in the evening.

On the 9:30 Club website, it says 7:00 Doors - does this mean the doors open at 7:00, or is that when Sam Roberts is set to come on?? What's your take??

I did some research on their webpage, and also found this information, but not sure if it's applicable to this particular night (because of the double headliner/two different shows):

Fri-Sat: doors 9:00p
Act one 9:45p 10:00p
Act two 10:15p
Headline 11:30p

I am tempted to call the venue tonight to see if they can clarify. I mean, I don't want to get to the venue at 5pm and wait in line if the doors don't actually open until 7pm.

Hey there,

I'll be in attendance as well and that phrasing/scheduling is interesting to say the least. I'm guessing doors open at 7pm and SR will be on stage shortly thereafter (7:15ish). Probably play until 8pm. Hip from 8-30-10:30. They shuffle us out, then let the techno kids in at 11.

Just my take. Please post a reply if you call the 9:30 club and get any info.

Thanks, Brian! You beat me to the punch. For some reason, I was thinking the club wouldn't be open during the day.

Anyway, Shannon, Hugh, anyone else showing up - incase we don't see you before then, we'll be in line around 6pm!

Shannon, her friend Nathalie and myself are going to get a head start from Ottawa tonight. I'll be heading to Ottawa around 2pm from Toronto to pick up the ladies and then we'll drive as far as the border, bunk at some cheapy place then on to DC early Saturday morning. We'll do our best to be there around 5ish to see some of you hipbasers! Is anyone taping at the moment?

Yes, to reiterate...we'll be in line at the club around 6pm. We'd like to get a decent spot up front (for pictures, naturally)...if you see us (me, Hipbase shirt wearer with long dark hair...my friend the tall thin blonde)...come say hi and get in line with us! Hipbaser's deserve to be up front!
