I was intrigued by the Opiated vs. Locked thread, so I started thinking about this one. Two of the most famous bootlegs of NOIS are the ones with the Killerwhaletank and Frogman rants in the middle. So which is better? The one where Gord is attacked and his arm ripped off by Bartholomew, or the one where Gord is an underwater dude for the cops who rescues people who let the water fill up to the roof of their car for pressure reasons?

Hey nothing wrong with a little discussion right? Personally I'd take Frogman, I crack up every time he says, "Honey, the ferry takes way too long, let's go right across the ice, it'll be much faster!"

I really like Frogman, mainly because of the personal connection. In Kingston, there is a ferry that goes to Wolfe Island (about a 20 minute ride), however every winter, right next to the Pump House Steam Museum, people try to drive across the frozen lake. The line, "Honey, the ferry takes way too long, let's go right across the ice, it'll be much faster!" was said by my father to my mother on numerous occasions in the early 80's - and I thank my mother every day that she had the strength/wisdom to convince my father that although the ferry may be slower, the ride is much safer.
Frogman gets my vote! :thumb:

I think you're right - definitely. Double Suicide is the best rant. Was someone saying earlier something about Locked starting as a test song in the middle of NOIS or Highway Girl? Anymore info on that?

as with alot of earlier rants, they eventually made their ways into songs or parts of songs.
