As one of the first Boston-based Hipbase members, I feel its my responsibility to get this going...

what bar should we designate as THE PLACE for to hang before the Hip?..

If the weather's good.. I'm thinking Atlas Bar and Grill on Landsdown street...
close proximity / no cover / good sightlines etc, etc..

also, is anyone signed up to tape and /or video the Boston show?

So there is. Might be worth doing your thing away from Landsdowne -- although I'm not sure how many Sox fans actually go to Atlas, as opposed to Jillian's, the Cask & Flagon, Beerworks or whatever BB Wolf turned into.

If people think the crowds will be too much, maybe something like Blue Cat, on Mass Ave., followed by a short walk to the show?

well last year the new owners of the Red Sox opened up Yawkey way as an outdoor food and bar area for red Sox ticket holders only so that tends toi be the focus of alot of fans...
"Who's on first" and "The Cask and Flagon" are other traditional sox fan hang outs...
Don't even think about getting into Boston Beer works on game day.. that's a constant waiting line...

I suggest Atlas and if that's a mess, we can use Julians pool hall as a back up...
I don't want to be too far fro Avalon when it opens up and usually thebands's bus is parke close by...

The ideal spot to vidoetape is the balcony in the back but sometimes they rope that off... you'll have to play it by ear I guess...
