Gord on the Movie Network today
#1

The Movie Network is running Sarah Polly's "I Shout Love" at various times this weekend. The film opens with a three minute sequence set to Gord's "Boy Bruised By Butterfly Chase."

No word if they'll include Sarah's umm... "memorable" version of Courage as an extra.

Is that version of Courage up on any of the FTPs? I had it ages ago but my computer crashed and I've been looking for it ever since. Can anybody hook me up?

Whats all this 'Courage' non-sense?

Sarah Polley, the actress, did a really...really...REALLY mellow version of Courage. It's just as sparse as the movie itself. A real Daniel Lanois-esque production.

If you're interested I can send it to you...chancellor sent it to me!

The Polley version is shit IMO... as for I Shout Love... I caught that Canada Day on Showcase in the morning and noticed it featured Hip/Gord songs... wondered about it...

The Sarah polley cover of Courage was featured in the film "The Sweet Hereafter" and is available on the soundtrack: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120255/soundtrack

Her version was also used in an episode of "Charmed."

Personally, I love that version...so mellow, such a different take on such a beautiful song.

I don't love it...but I'm glad it was made. It's a reflection of what the Hip will sound like when they're 103 an on a steady IV morphine drip.

I remember watching that movie years ago. I made it halfway through the song before I realized it was "Courage".

I was like "Man, these lyrics seem awfully familiar".
