Wow, Hip tickets are more expensive than Sonic Youth? That makes no sense.

Dana, where do you think they will play after Boston? Vermont? Or all the way back to Rochester/Syracuse? Philly? NY?

Damnit, I want details! Why would the Hip wait so long? Vacation plans need to be made. Money needs to be saved. Why are we given details at the last minute?

Since it's a small venue they probably don't want months of anticipation...most people from outside the city wouldn't stand that good a chance of getting tickets. That's my guess.

And hey...it could be worse. You could live anywhere east of Montreal, where The Hip's goddamn comprehension of Canadian geography ends!! The Maritimes could slide back into the sea and the Hip wouldn't know it until they were standing at the ocean's edge next time they play Montreal.

Red Sox have a home game on 21 September.
The venue is AT Fenway park. You won't find parking for less than $25, IF YOU CAN FIND IT!

Good thing is I'm working in Cambridge and can take the T and leave my car at work!

Let me know if you want me to pick up extra tickets on Friday.

I see they finally listed that on TM today as well. Three shows up there, and counting...too bad no one told The Hip, since they haven't confirmed anything on their webpage yet!!!! Sad

Hey I was wondering if you guys think that the Hip show in Boston will sell out within the next few weeks. I move to Comm Ave in September, so I was thinking I could just run down to Avalon to pick up tix when I get there, but I didn't know if that would be too late. I move back Sept. 2nd; do you think that's too late? I was hoping to avoid the getting tix online.

Thanks

The US shows rarely sell out...and since it's just a GA show I think you should be ok.

Is the Boston venue large?
You going Fran?
Maybe by then I'll get my Syracuse video back and be able to make you a copy!

they last played avalon back during their TATHH tour..
It's a big ballroom with bars on each side of the stage..
Great lighting set-up...

The band's post-show room is through a secret passageway to Axis (the club next to it)...

Atlas Bar (two doors done) is a great place to drink, watch sports, and people watch...part of it is open air...

The band has been known to shoot pool before the show at Julian's (four doors down) a poolhall / arcade / bar / restaraunt...wicked cool place..!

all these places are in the shadow of magnificant Fenway Park..!
right across the street..

can't wait :jump
