Surround Speaker Help.
#1

Hey Guys & Gals,

I need some help. I've got a basic surround sound system, but all I need is "extension cable" for my rear speakers. The speakers themselves "plug in" (not like the frayed wire stuff) to the back of my stereo, so I need and extension for this.

As you can tell I'm pretty basic at this, I am wondering what they are called and where I can get them?

Thanks!

Nothing that a quick trip to your local radio-shack won't cure. When you say "plug in" I assume you are speaking of either a 1/8" mini plug (like you would plug into the earphone input on a discman) or an RCA type plug (like on the back of a stand-alone home CD player). Take a look at these web-sites and see if either would fit the mold.
For 1/8" <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.radioshack.com/searchsku.asp?find=42-2562">http://www.radioshack.com/searchsku.asp?find=42-2562</a><!-- m -->
For RCA <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.radioshack.com/searchsku.asp?find=42-2363">http://www.radioshack.com/searchsku.asp?find=42-2363</a><!-- m -->

Just give the dummy at the counter the cat # (eg. 42-2562) and he'll hunt it out for ya. You'll need one extention for each speaker.

Hope this helps, if not post back and let me know exactly what the plugs look like.
