Hey all
It's about 4 am in the booming metropolis of Bradford, and my house is seemingly infested by bats. We've caught one already tonight, with number two flying around in our upstairs (luckily it can't get to the downstairs).
So here's my question: what do you do to pass the time when something like this happens? Any good all-nighter stories? Anyone in the pest control business that can give us a good deal in getting the little bastards out of here?

I actually own Bats -- it was apart of an elaborate birthday gift featuring the cheapest/worst dvd my girlfriend could find to hide the pair of Travis tickets in. We watched it one afternoon, and as much as I thought it was the stupidest movie ever, I'm a little apprehensive about fighting a bunch of Bats tonight because of it.
The white towel just might work... might need some liquid courage though first.

Let me know how it turns out. :thumb:
Also: Bats eat fruit. If you wanna lure it some direction or another, cut like a peach or something really juicy and set it out. Might work.

Thanks Steven, that actually brought a smile to my face.
As a sidebar, I emailed Josie from the Edge in TO for the all-request nooner with my story, and a couple of song suggestions, one of which being "Hold Me, Thrill me, Kiss Me, Kill Me"

You'd think there would be more people willing to make house calls on this psuedo stat holiday, but alas, all we got were answering machines and "you're not in our service area"s. I think we've fixed the problem, sort of. We isolated the hole from which it entered and our using our cat's total relaxed attitude as indication that something is not in the house (as opposed to last night when he was going *ahem* batty).
Next stop, new bathroom ceiling. That and buying the original Batman movie on DVD.
Cheers

Good to hear you got the best of the bat! Hope the kitty cat wasn't too spooked.
And gentlemen, We're talking 60's Batman here, it's not a "Vibrator," it's actually got a big label on the other side which reads in big block letters: "Purr-fect Cat-atonic Love Device."

look up pest control
also a bat must drop to fly so if it is on the ground it is not going anywhere
put on youtr hockey helmet with cage turn on all the lights and get out your
tennis racket and batter up
my friend did this but shot it with a bb gun
also an empty peanutbutter jar works well with some left in it

Send 'em my way. I've been trying to attract bats to my house to help control our mosquito problem. They're supposed to eat thousands of mosquitos/day.
