does anyone know if they will let you bring a camera into the show at Darien Lake? specifically a digital (non-professional) camera.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure it will be OK, the band usually gives the OK, and as far as I know and from everybody posting show pics, they still are fine with it. I work a show there tomorrow night and will find out what I can.
There will be a security guard on the way in to the show with a megaphone announing what is and is not allowed. You still have the option to bring it back to the car if needed...another good reason to get in early.
I would think it would be fine though, considering every other Hip show at Darien was recorded on video.

There might be a # there (585-599-something) you could call to verify if they are allowed.

Talking to security last night, they told me that they find out the morning of the show whether cameras are allowed...so with that, everything leads me to believe that cameras WILL be allowed.
Bring them with ya, just give yourself enough time to return it to the car in case The Hip somehow changed their policy on this overnight.
Enjoy the show, it should be a dandy!

Usually they say disposable cameras are allowed, not sure about others.

I also had zero problem, just said that I had a digital...and they said go ahead. They just wouldn't allow cameras with detachable lenses.

I noticed a guy a few rows in front of me with a hand-held video camera (no tri-pod, mono-pod). He was in sec. 200, first few rows or so.
I saw at least 5 audio stands scattered amongst the crowd, but I only saw the one camcorder.

From my vantage point in section 100, row 7 I didn't see too many people recording HOWEVER I did notice a guy in the very front row (section 100, row 1, seat right at the aisle (#15?)) who had a tripod set up with cam and recorded the entire show.
I talked with him a bit after the show and asked him if he was a member of the board here. He said he wasn't but he checks it out every so often. I prob should have gotten his #, but was too distracted with the setlists, drumsticks, and pics which were being thrown from the stage.
