Since stumbling upon this site, I have had a great time reading all the different posts. There is one I would like to start. I know all of us here are true hip fans, so this may be hard, but what is your least favorite album? Feel free to rank them 1 (being your favorite) through 11. I thought about not including the debut album, but it's not my least favorite, so I'll keep it in.

I voted for the EP, and I think the only reason it is not my favorite is because we never get to hear anything from it live. I love so many of the songs, but I live to hear them live.
Example - I heard IVL and instantly fell in love with Leave. Went and saw 5 shows from the IVL tour and of course, no Leave. So we met the boys outside of the show at the Queen E in Vancouver, and my precocious brother decides to ask Bobby why. He explained that the repetitive sound that goes on throughout the song is actually a guitar played through a synthesizer and then looped in reverse or something like that. Anyway, he let us know that they probably wouldn't play it live. On the other hand I got to hear Dire Wolf live 3 or 4 times and it quickly grew to become my fav IVL track. Like almost every hip song (for me), they become so much more live.
I feel the same thing has happened to the first album for me. I have heard one track at a show in Kamloops 95, and a few on bootlegs, but it isn't the same.
That's my 2 cents...great thread by the way...I want to start a top ten list of songs thread to compare everyone's top ten. Be sure to post if I do

Once again, In Violet Light gets no respect. I just don't get it. For me, that disc is right up there with PP, DFN, and RA as one of my all-time favorite Hip albums. Good Life, Darkest One, Throwing Off Glass, A Beautiful Thing, All Tore Up, Dire Wolf, and Dark Canuck are some of the most incredible songs the band has ever written, musically AND lyrically. And don't even get me started on how much I love the criminally underrated "Leave".

Should'a done the poll without the ep, perhaps tomorrow?
I voted for Henhouse, not because I think it is a bad album, but there was such a build up from fully and then day for night....

Easy, the EP. How anyone could vote for any other album is beyond me. C'mon, even the boys in the band realize how cheesy the album sounds.
Excluding the EP, I can't choose.

Henhouse just seemed rushed to market....some really great tunes with some fillers that didn't match the songs on the previous albums (where every song was a classic)
I think the live album might have happened becasue they new they had such a strong setlist (even the songs from henhouse...gift shop, vienna, don't wake daddy) and maybe they thought any new material that they would have to tour with to promote would not compare to the songs from previous albums? Just a thought

EP definitely shouldn't be in there. . it's the clear winner.
I personally say Up To Here.
