Awesome...have the #'s came out yet? I know Avril and the Beasties only sold about 11,000 copies each last week. IVL sold 29,000 in its debut week so hopefully it was in that neighbourhood.
Notice how The Hip get no love in Quebec, or alot less in the rest of the country? IVL would have been #1 had it not debuted at like #10 in Montreal/Quebec city.
I know it's just charts, but it's nice to see the band get recognized. I think we all want them to do well.

I hope these sales keep up, but I have a feeling they may drop off. I think that compared to other artists out there, hip fans are more rabid, and thus a huge insurgence of sales in the first week, while an Avril Lavigne may have more steady sales. Just my opinion.

My buddy got the new Besties. He loves it. I don't. More politcal and less fun than I expect from the Bestie Boys.

I think the new Beastie Boys album is pretty damn good! **WARNING: CLICHE** ... It sounds like their old stuff and that makes me very happy!

the new beasties is great..it doesn't drag on like some of their stuff..clocking in at under 45 minutes, and most songs (quite like IBE) are no longer than 4 minutes...they sound refreshed...
