It was really good to see some cool new merchandise at the Molson Amp show last night. I've been pondering why there is a number 10 on the new Hip Jersey's. For those who weren't there, they had home and Away jersey's (Black and White) with the words "In Between Evolution" on the back with the number 10 as well as 10's on the sleeves. On the front, it looked like the end of a guitar. I think I figured it out though. IBE is their 10th official album release. At least that's my guess. They also had a new long sleeve shirt with IBE on one sleeve and The Tragically Hip on the other and a little dude on the front of the shirt from the album artwork. They also had some good women's shirts, some cool new hats as well as an IBE tour shirt listing all the dates so far. Hopefully it will be all on maplemusic soon with some more reasonable prices!

shirts are awesome. there is a tshirt with the album cover on the front and the 6 tourdates on the back with a couple of buildings (you may recognize them from the VS video) and it also says "In Between Evolution Tour 2004" on the back. There is also a long sleeve shirt that has a big picture of the the little dud with his hands on fire (from the album cover, just to the left of the piano guy) and the sleeves say "The Tragically Hip" and "In Between Evolution". there is a nice hoodie with "The Tragically Hip" and four of the little guys in a row across the chest. There are also some awesome looking new jerseys in both black and white. i believe they say "In Between Evolution" on the back with number 10. the new jerseys look better than the previous versions. there was some other merch available, including stickers, but this is all i can remember.

They also had women's thin strap tank-tops. There's a red one that's quite nice.

Hockey jerseys were $125.
T-shirts were $45, I think. Maybe one was $33?

Nice to seem them selling some stickers finally. The only Hip stickers I've ever got my hands on were a PP and M@W one they sent me (for free too) when I ordered from <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.thehip.com">www.thehip.com</a><!-- w --> in 2001 which was before they teamed up with Maple Music.

The new hip jersey can best be described as this...think of the old vintage green, blue and white Canucks jersey...For the rectangle symbol with the hockey stick or whatever on it, replace the stick with the end of a guitar. It is very simple, I think a bit over priced for the design, but a good souviner none the less. I personally like the old red and white ones, or the purple and gold ones better...you'll have to decide yourself when an image turns up.

The jerseys also have a THC (or is a TTH) stylized to match the CCM logo on real jerseys. It is along the bottom edge of the jersey. Trés cool!
