Well, the big day is here: Rants, celebrations, voting stories, my guy's tie is better than your guy's tie, and "holy crap this is close" comments can all go here.

If things hold, we're about to give the Liberals the popuar vote, the Conservatives more seats, the NDP and the Bloq the option of king maker, and the Green party it's first seats ever.

Basically, it looks like Canadians want a "liberal" government run by anybody but Liberals. Hence the majority of voters who have spread their support among four parties on the left, and of course the unprecedented rise of the new Conservatives.

So here we go, it should get interesting tonight, and it could be a week before we know for sure whose gettin' the keys to 24 Sussex.

So remember sports fans: vote early and vote often.

With 92 seats available west of Ontario which can still be decided after the first set of results are disclosed, it's certainly going to be interesting...

Regardless of the eventual outcome, I just can't shake the feeling we're going to be doing this all over again in 6 to 8 months time... :roll:

Well, I was lucky enough to be working in one of the closest ridings in the country where the Liberal incumbent squeaked to a victory.

I met with people today between the ages of 15 and 86. Liberals, Conservatives and NDP'ers and all impressed me to no end. The losers were positive, articulate and stead fast in their commitment. The winners were magnanimous and humble and it seemed that each and every person was respectful, caring and so very very accepting of the decisions of their fellow Canucks.

It may appear divisive at times folks, but on the ground we're all in it together and that was driven home for me tonight.

Maybe it's because it's late, maybe it's because I'm a sap, but dammit if all those dedicated, gracious and commited people didn't make me feel great about this country.

And with that out of the way, BRING ON IBE!
