I know this subject probably isn't going to be looked on favorably by most because really....The Hip don't need to impress the mass public.

But I've listened to IBE on the Russian site (hey...I'm getting a free CD but don't know when it's coming so....), and I'd like to list the tracks I see as being real radio single hits ( I won't mention VS and Summer as they've already been played ).

• But the real winner (And I really hope they put this on air) is Goodnight Josephine. It just has a good mix of slow and rock, and It's just a great story song...and by that I mean a Bobcaygeon sorta feel.

AGREED! I love this song.

However, regardless of your opinion of the song, you have to agree that it is a catchy straight ahead rock tune that would do well on the radio.

The interviewer on the record premiere radio show said it is the linchpin of the album and the band members stated that it was a song that just came to them. I think it was Bobby that said (can't remember his exact words) it was a son they didn't have to work at it. It just flowed out of them and is as close to the epitomy of the Hip's sound as your gonna get.

I think it could sell a lot of records if released as a single.

I have to agree, this album is full of great tracks but MAKESHIFT is simply amazing, could be a big hit for them.
