I just found out that there is a rumour - so credible that it's about to be published - that the Hip will play The Whiskey here in Calgary on June 23....which is a week before the album's supposed to come out!!

If anybody hears ANYTHING more about this, please post ASAP!!!

I hanve't heard anything, but that wouldn't surprise me. Remember the small and secret location radio gigs The Hip did right before and during IVL's release?? They seem to be up for stuff like that.

It would be that week. I'll be on my honeymoon in Mexico that week. Yay for Mexico but Boooo for missing the Hip in a small club.

IT'S CONFIRMED....it is going to happen.

The Whiskey only holds maybe 350-400 people, so I bet that it'll just be an invite/radio winners only ... it's not worth their time to try selling a couple hundred tickets knowing they'd be completely overwhelmed with people trying to get them.

I can't listen to the radio - I don't have one at work and I don't drive - so if anybody IS listening to the rock stations, post anything you here about contests!!
