just call me submariner, that'll do. ya know when you can feel when someone has something on,well I guess I just felt that way. We just know what we know, we all have are our own truthz and liez. I mean anyone can dispute someone/something. You feel I may be off a nautical mile or 2, two each their own right?

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Quote:And you, you want to be heard
But none of us understand a word
And you, you want to be free
Then don't speak like a slave to me

Desire
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For years, teachers with roots in eastern traditions have advocated a state of desirelessness. This generally involves rooting out all desires so that, ultimately, the mind will reach a state of tranquility, in which it no longer experiences the suffering that manifests when desires are not fulfilled. Essentially, these mystics teach that desires keep the mind in bondage and must be destroyed before perfection can dawn.

This attitude can be quite destructive in application. Frequently, people will strain to force all desires out of the consciousness through rationalization and contemplation, which does nothing but create a huge split between the intuitive and aggressive sides of the brain. Someone who has done so may think in a very enlightened way, but, in the final analysis, that person is incomplete. A whole section of his or her personality has been repressed, and this “enlightenment” is but a phantasm, a dream within a dream

Desire is the impelling force that causes consciousness to move. It was desire that moved our awareness into an apparent sate of separation; it is desire that will lead us back to union. Desire impels us to move inward and know who we are. Even a beautiful tool like the Ishayas’ Ascension is useless if we do not desire to change. In the words of the Brahma Sutras, “If it be argued thus: Brahman is not known from the designation of desire, not so, because prayer attaches to consciousness thus for knowing.” (1, 1, 25) This means that it is the subtle impulse of desire that lies within any valid technique for moving beyond duality that unites with the consciousness and impels it to return to its source. It is therefore a complete waste of time to try to destroy desires. Rather, as they naturally arise, it is vital to accept each fully. As long as there is judgment about any desire, we cannot move forward and experience more of ourSelves.

From the perspective of the waking state, this means every desire must be accepted and ultimately fulfilled before awareness of the Ascendant dawns. With this in mind, is it any surprise that the number of enlightened people in the world has been relatively few? Many people have virtual storehouses of unfulfilled desires, seeds awaiting the perfect conditions to sprout and manifest. The tendency in the modern world to judge is so strong, though, that most of these seeds of desire will have no possibility of sprouting in this lifetime.

This illustrates the difference between living a righteous and a destructive life. A righteous life, one lived in accord with Mother Nature, tends to fulfill desire and decrease the number of the “seeds”. A destructive life adds to the store and makes liberation from the physical universe an even more distant goal.

When one learns how to Ascend, however, this process changes drastically. Every time the eyes are closed to Ascend, one is performing Tapas. The mind tends to follow the stream of desire to its fulfillment; Tapas is choosing instead to turn the attention inward to the source of all desire. My teacher was fond of saying, “Tapas is the fire that burns the seeds of unfulfilled desires.” Turning inward is aligning the consciousness with the deepest longing of the heart, the desire for the Unbounded. All others are expressions, colored by previous experience, of this lust to return to our Exalted state in the Abode of God.

In the beginning, the process of Ascending is unconscious; completely naturally we melt into our true Selves. When one becomes conscious of the highest desire though, life becomes based on individual choice, either extremely simple or extraordinarily difficult. Do we clutch the smoldering seeds of our transforming desires, frantically struggling for boundaries in an unbounded world? Or, do we effortlessly allow them to dissolve into our highest desire while reveling in the beauty of the unfolding of the One?

At some point, each of us began to believe that not all of our desires would be fulfilled; we started to think that the universe would not support us. As a result everybody has developed means to control and manipulate the environment in order to have their desires met, rooted in a particularly subtle and unequivocally- incorrect belief in separation. Average adults waste huge amounts of time and energy “trying” to force the universe into giving them what they think they deserve. The fruits of this piteous action are overwhelmingly obvious in the modern world. How many people do you know that are filled with happiness and peace due to getting what they want?

There comes a moment in evolution when the ultimate futility of being in charge of the course of desire is recognized. It is then (after a bit of vengeful grasping perhaps) that one allows all limited desires to be fulfilled by the universe. The focus of the questing soul is then free to be applied to knowing itself; this application is the most important pursuit any being can undertake.

The beauty of the whole process of evolution though, is that all roads terminate in the heart of God. Desires are a natural part of the human condition. No matter how twisted due to judgment, control, or low self-worth desires have become, the pure impulse of the One exists in each. While their paths may be tortured and crooked, all desires eventually return to their source.

Finding the treasures that lie hidden within desire requires that one must be willing to live outside the commonly-accepted beliefs of the modern world. We are taught from infancy that some desires are “evil” and should not exist in a pure mind. Many of us have therefore rejected ourselves; we live in fragmented mental worlds. Like shattered mirrors, these minds have little or no ability to reflect with clarity. The infinite silence, bliss, and love of the Unbounded-Source-of-All is therefore like a distant mirage in the desert of today’s suffering and pain. You have the opportunity to change this.

Stop for a moment and listen. During your whole life there has been an Inner Voice, a Muse, sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, that has been leading you towards greater Knowledge, greater Truth, and greater Joy. It may have been a long time since you have listened to that voice, it may be that you have chosen not to Hear for days, years, decades, lifetimes. It is still there, waiting to guide you with the strength of the Divine Hands. You can choose now, RIGHT NOW, to abandon your limiting beliefs that have brought you pain and suffering in favor of the guidance of this Muse. Modern thinking is a construct of the ego. By dropping your ego-based thinking, which supports separation in all forms, all parts of yourSelf can reunite into a grater whole. The true definition of desirelessness then, is the renunciation of the control and judgment of desire. This is the path to Infinite Life. This is the path to Perfection. And this is the One True Path to freedom from suffering.

The Eternal Choice

by MSI

Everyone on the planet is a piece of the Ascendant. Everyone reflects the Infinite light. This necessarily means that everyone is equally worthy of our love. Others’ actions, so horribly condemned by us when we believed that we can be hurt or victimized, begin to be seen as either expressions of love filtered through their individual nervous systems, or else as cries for our help. "Please demonstrate to me that you love me! Please show me that you will continue to care for me even if I fail chemistry or marry George or get fired! Please show me that you will still love me even if I hurt you."

The depth of the feeling of loneliness, of isolation, of fear combined with the extent of the feeling of victimization will determine the depth of the "negative" action employed by a soul seeking proof of love in a harsh Universe. In every case, it is a request for assistance. "I’m drowning here on Earth! Can’t anyone help me? You say you love! You dare to say you love me! Prove it to me! I’ll be bad, so very, very bad, because no one really truly loves me. You must prove it to me!"

This all means that there are only two kinds of actions on Earth, only two kinds of thoughts, only two kinds of feelings -- those which are based in love and those which are based in fear -- fear of being alone, lost, unloved. Thus any "negative" actions or feelings or words only deserve our compassionate understanding, never our punishment or judgment. They are cries for help, for love. " ‘Judgment is Mine,’ says the Lord," is a statement of fact. Human beings have no business judging others. There is only one judgment, and that is that all are worthy of love and worthy of love and worthy of love. God only says one thing to the human, and that is, "Yes." It is our job here to attempt to master such a depth of unconditional love.

This may not be particularly easy to do at first. Our usual habit is to feel that the world is a more or less hostile place, in which we are frequently (or always) victims of circumstance, people or place. We are often prone to feel that we are being taken advantage of. We often feel that others are attempting to control or manipulate us. We often take this to the extreme and believe there are dark forces in the Universe who are attempting to destroy our souls. We feel that energy flows toward us to control us or to be a victim -- either of other people, or of Satan, or of a jealous, vengeful God, or perhaps of impartial and uncaring natural law.

Victim Consciousness

We commonly feel like this:

In this state, we feel that everyone is looking at us at all times, that we are the center stage of our Universe.

This is, of course, literally true, but not in the way we are feeling and believing it to be in this state of Victim Consciousness. When enlightenment is stabilized, we know we are the center of the Universe, (as is everyone else); we never feel like a victim.

Our experience of others is now like this:

This is a state of continually giving love, joy, light, not taking. If the light bulb is turned on, it radiates light. There is no potential to be experiencing shadows, because there are no shadows anywhere that exist when we view life from this perspective. This is Seeing, this is the most effective way to exorcise the demons from our private Universe.

One characteristic of Victim Consciousness is the tendency to believe that life is being done to you, to feel that you are not the prime mover in the Universe, to feel that others have control over your feelings, moods and experiences. This belief frequently results in a desire to attack first, to strike out against others before they can strike out against you. This can occur physically -- a preemptive military strike is the most extreme example, but any action designed to hurt another qualifies as this kind of violence. This can also occur emotionally -- threats, pleading, anger are obvious examples.

If we believe that we can be hurt by another, it is only natural for us to believe that we can (and perhaps should!) attack first to save ourselves from the impending pain or destruction. The problem is that this doesn’t save us from pain. In fact, this tends to increase pain, both in ourselves and, to the extent that our opponents also feel like victims, in others.

The alternative is to culture a state of consciousness in which it is impossible ever to feel betrayed, for it is impossible ever to be betrayed.

If we view ourselves as bodies, then we can certainly be betrayed. We can be damaged -- we can be cut, bruised, shot, torn. And we can obviously damage ourselves: we can give ourselves hypertension, heart disease, cancer, the common cold; we can commit suicide; we can become insane.

But if we are spirit, it is impossible ever to betray or be betrayed. We cannot be damaged. We cannot be cut, bruised, shot, torn. We are, quite literally, invincible, indestructible, undying.

Some of us have realized this intellectually and others of us have attempted to live this state of consciousness by believing in it, by calling it grace or salvation or enlightenment and making a mood of living it: "Since I know logically that spirit is Omnipresent, I believe that I cannot be hurt in any way. My illness must be an illusion. I will therefore will it away."

Unfortunately, this rarely works. This is confusing the path to the goal for the goal itself. The only immediate advantage of this shift in perspective is the understanding that there is another way to view the Universe. Once this is realized, we naturally become eager to begin to develop this perception of life, for it means endless freedom, boundless joy, flawless love.

As an experience, not just a belief.
