Just heard on my local radio station ROCK 101.9 in Cornwall that the Hip are rumoured to be playing at our Balloon lift-off in mid-July. Could that be? The Hip in my hometown? He said the announcement will be made tomorrow afternoon. None of the DJ's even know who's playing. There having some sort of ceremony to announce 2 big bands here tomorrow. I'm sure my hopes will be dashed, but you never know. If they announce god damn Nickleback again I'm moving. If they annouce some Hip, the pre-party's at my place!

Is that Cornwall, England or another Cornwall in Canada? Please please tell me the Hip is going to be playing in England while I'm there!

I'm disappointed. I'm so disappointed, I won't even tell you who is playing. I think there's a Hip cover band playing at some point, but who cares now. No wonder I drink.

Kim Mitchell and his fabulous band from the trailer park. Accompanied by retired but not quite so dead "Honeymoon Suite". Never even heard of the second band. God am I in a bad mood. It wouldn't be so bad if the radio station hadn't pumped us for 3 weeks now, telling us how the bands would attract some 30,000 people. They even had a poll on their website to see what band we'd like to see. Some options were The Hip, Blue Rodeo, Finger Eleven. Now what the f#@k did they give us?
I think I'm gonna have a soda, so nobody cries, outside beside my patio lanterns. I am a wild party!
