Never made time to watch the show, in fact, I never really cared. I watched the finale to ensure my predictions of such a predictable show were correct. It came to an end as I thought it would, and I was only dissapointed because I was correct. BUT!: everyone ended up happy and they played Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam... a graceful exit for such a shallow show, no?

A little tongue in cheek there, playing Yellow Ledbetter...great song, incoherent lyrics...kinda like the show itself , only without the greatness

The last episode of Mash still gets me teary eyed. they shoulda just stopped doing finales after that one...
Sadly, it doesn't look like the real greatest television show of all-time, The Simpsons, will even get a farewell...

If you noticed, the ending scene had a guitar track...
That was Jorma Kaukonen's "Embryonic Journey".
Jorma wrote that when he was with Jefferson Airplane.

i will say the same thing here as i have said on a couple other boards.
yes. the ending was very predictable. but they did the ending that needed to be done. ross and rachel had to end up together. you don't tease that relationship as on again/off again without bringing it to a happy ending.
they did what they had to do.
