Vaccination Scar lyrics

So the chemistry's set,
and I'm not the saddest cheerleader to forget the American word.
For the gang in the head
that dwindles 'til no members won.
The mystery's met the sky,
looks threatened, heading home in the dust
singing 'Life Is Forgetting', good enough for the frivilous.

If there's one thing I remember is
this tear on your bare shoulder,
this little silver boulder,
this slowly falling star.
We're rolling, so what?
Never getting older where the moon-shocked curtains part.
The start of enough,
a teardrop, then a Vaccination Scar.

I'll tell ya if I'm involved, that is,
I'll tell ya like it is.
We went down like a bad card-table,
like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge,
like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

Swimming on a bit,
"stop, you're treading water" as the sun assimilated the words.
For lighthouse fire burning down to ember's end.
The mystery met sky just reddened,
heading home under dusk.
Is life just for getting another word for frivilous?
Little silver boulder, silence from Mars.
For the heart of enough
or a teardrop, then a Vaccination Scar.

Wherever you are,
scar.

Awesome Ear Bill, thats like 98% if not 100% :jump

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

that's awesome,
thanks alot,

instead of fear-leader it could be cheer-leader....

with a few months of listening to this song and looking at these lyrics these are the ones i'm gonna remember regardless of what the cd cover says.

thanks again :thumb:

yes he is.
I'm gonna edit the original as corrections come in.
This way it doesn't get reprinted over and over.

Added small words on lines 2 & 4 and changed 2nd line of final verse. Added 'a' and 'or' on 'Vaccination Scar' lines.

(hey I know I'm getting technical but it just sounds more complete this way.)

I think you got it pretty much right smack down on the head, good job.

I'm just thrilled the "Life Is Forgetting" line finally found a musical home... Hard to believe that it was two years ago when Gord first began belting that out.

Yeah, when I was watchig HNIC and I heard "life is forgetting" I was so excited. I remember hearing that at the concerts I went to during the last tour, and from the Winnepeg boot I have. It was an awesome rant, and it was great to hear it in 'scar'. However, I would have liked to see where Gord went with that as a song by itself. I guess we'll never know.

Bring on the rest of the album! :thumb:
