Ron Mclean & Don Cherry just announced that the new Hip song and/or video will be debuted on Hockey Night in Canada next Saturday, April 10 at 6:30pm or 7:00pm EST / 3:30pm or 4:00pm PST.
So then it must come out officially on April 13 (if HNIC is "debuting" it April 10).

I was just watching Hockey Night in Canada. They were in break before going to the Edmonton game. Ron McLean let this bit of news out of the bag. The Hip will be debuting their new song on the 10th during the pregame show. Not sure if it'll be a video or performance.
As well...he was mentioning of the Junos. I didn't quite get it all and I'm not sure if he mentioned a connection with the Hip and the Junos or not. Might have misread what he was saying. But the pre-game show is on so says Mr. McLean.

Damn it, I WOULD listen to the pre-Edmonton host babble and tune out just as it was being sent "back to Ron and Don". I must have missed this news by 5 seconds. Good to know we always have the Hipbase to fall back on!!

Why would they premiere the song on national TV? What the hell is the Hip Club FOR?! I seriously thought that after IVL it turned into a half baked leftover, but I figured it would enjoy a renaissance with the coming of a new album. Hip Club fans should be privy to EXCLUSIVE premieres....IE it would premiere on THC on, say, Thursday, and then on HNIC on Saturday.
