Gord D a lefty?
#1

Thehip21 and I were talking tonight about a picture where Gord D is playing hockey and he shoots left. Anyone know about his handedness?

Yup left, just like the Great One......Me....and Wayne.

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

When I received an autograph from Gord he wrote with his left hand. I don't know about which way he holds his hockey stick.

Yep. He's definatley a leftie. I have a picture of him and me on my wall which was taken right after I got his autograph, and he's holding the pen in his left hand.

He obviously doesn't play a left handed guitar though.

*SIGH* I hope to have a picture like that someday, maybe this summer.

I looked at the pic on the hipbase and tried to figure out if he played left or not, obviously he doesn't.

Some of us lefties do things right handed;-)

He could be ambidextrous...I know a lot of people who are have a p
preference for doing certain things with one hand and other things with the other - like my friend who likes driving a stick shift using her right hand, but she writes with her left hand. And she'll usually eat with her left hand but wear a watch on her right hand...that kinda stuff.

It's possible Gord is ambidextrous and feels more comfortable writing with one hand and playing with the other.

Ambidextrous means able to do things well with both hands, I think this includes writing. In a right handed world it's easy to be trained to be a righty. I don't use left handed scissors, however left handed notebooks come in handy as do other things. As far as sports, it's what feels comfortable. IF Gord can do everything with both hands, he's ambidextrous.

I have a stick shift car and I shift with my right hand, it's the only way to! I'm so ingrained with it, that if I went to England and tried it there with my left, it would be strange to me probably. I wear a watch on my right wrist, most lefties do. I do it because my watch used to scratch on the desk when I was in the third grade.
