Looks like we have the first tie; goodbye Vaccination Scar and Goodnight Attawapiskat.
10 - Vaccination Scar
10 - Goodnight Attawapiskat
12 - The Drop-Off
13 - The Last Recluse
14 - Highway Girl
Vote for the song that you feel is the weakest from the second place finishers in each poll. After 48 hours, we will remove the song with the most votes and move on to Round 6. In the event of a tie, both (or more) songs will be eliminated.
This round will end on Sunday at 11:48am Eastern.
Happy voting!

Well, I'll try My Music At Work again. Not a bad song, but I've just never connected with it.

Voting MM@W as well. Great song, but it just doesn't hit me as powerfully as the others.

My fourth vote for the Dark Canuck. I feel a bit guilty for kicking it so many times.

I'm shocked that people like Canuck and MMAW more than Recluse, DropOff, Atta & Scar. In my mind those four are vastly superior.

Surprised as well. I think the biggest surprise for me is the number of people that put any of these 2000's songs ahead of Vaccination Scar or Recluse. I love the sound of Rob's pedal steel in Vaccination Scar, the depth and potential multiple meanings of the lyrics, and the great line of "So the chemistry's set" as an opening lyric... it's a lyric that begs to hear the next line to see what he's singing about. As for Recluse, that song gives me chills. It has a haunting and melancholic feel to it that I love.

Was debating between Attawapistat and Vaccination last round, so that worked out OK for me. M@W, you are up.

What a shame to see World Possessed taking the lead. I honestly think it's one of the greatest songs they've ever written, and can easily hold it's own against anything from the back catalogue.

Agreed. Obviously tough competition, but I feel Possessed shouldn't be going yet.

When the jokesters voting out Possessed at this point step forward, I hope I laugh, and I hope I say, "It's fine."
