We see The Modern Spirit, Streets Ahead and Take Forever lead the voting in Round 1.
Eliminated Round 1
The Modern Spirit
Take Forever
Streets Ahead
Vote for the song you believe to be the weakest on Now For Plan A and after 48 hours, we will remove the two songs that have the most votes. As before, a song must have at least 10% of the vote in order to be removed otherwise it will carry forward into the following round.
The poll will end Friday at 10:26am Eastern.
Happy voting!

All these songs are great. I don't like "Attawapiskat" quite as much, so it gets my vote, but it was a reluctant one.

The album looks much stronger with the dreck eliminated. This list shows what a good record it is.
I went with the title track, which bores me.

I do enjoy About This Map here and there, however the repetition of the song title usually gets under my skin.
I have always loved Done & Done (love the transition into Attawapiskat). I'll never vote for D&D.

I don't know why people can't hear "Done and Done." It's an excellent song, a masterful use of minimalism to make a powerful point. I linked it on an Elvis Costello forum where people have never heard of The Tragically Hip and one guy at least was blown away. That said, we are getting to the point where any vote is a vote against a strong cut.

I like Done and Done...but as you say, you gotta vote for one of these songs. I'm surprised to see the votes piling up for Man Machine Poem - a song that, for me, is as interesting and as fresh as anything they did in the second half of their career. For a band that sometimes took heat for not being experimental enough with their sound, this one stands out. It's up there as one of my favs on this record. I'll be sad if goes this round.

Wow, MMP is on the chopping block next? By far the best track, IMO. A bit blown away.

It's been so interesting to see the vast differences in opinions on the songs for the last few albums. I think that speaks to the transformation (no pun intended) of the bands music, and how we as fans relate to those changes. I really don't understand the hate for Streets Ahead, I think it's a great rock tune and was surprised to see it go in the first round. Vote Done and Done, again, as it's the track I skip more than others from this album.

If I wanted to hear Gord scream songs out I would just go back in time to the 2011-2014 tours.

Ended up voting Done and Done. These next rounds are gonna be painful, as those are all quality songs.

Yeah this is actually a pretty strong list. Done and Done got my vote. Next will either be About This Map or MMP (even though I quite like both songs).
