They have shared a preview song from each member
Check out the lyric videos below (maybe don't post any lyric spoilers for the first couple days)

I've been listening to this album a lot lately, and it's fantastic. Best thing they've done in quite a while in my opinion. And those 3-part harmonies are just amazing. These guys are a national treasure.

I agree, this has been in heavy rotation for me as well. I was a big fan of Between the Bridges and for me this is their best album since that one.

Haven't heard it yet, although I've had it on my Spotify since release day. Just wanted to say that Between the Bridges is by far my favourite Sloan record.
Vinyl me with that one, Sloan!

When I saw them at the Grey Cup festival at TD Arena in November, the place was nearly empty. Lots of room on the floor, and the stands were probably about 25% full.
The next night for fuckin Trooper and April Wine? Sold out.
Sloan was exponentially better than the Trooper and April Wine. If my tickets weren't free, I would have felt super ripped off from April Wine and Trooper.

Did you forget that you were there for a good time, not a long time? Next show try to raise a little hell and have a good time, because the sun can't shine every day.
If you ever get the opportunity to go see Trooper and April Wine, I highly recommend instead spending your money on a case of beer and twenty bag, listen to 2 songs by each band on Spotify, and then switch to almost anything after the 4 songs. May I recommend Sloan's Between The Bridges instead

I love Sloan, haven't checked out the new album yet but look forward to doing so after reading this thread.
That said, the last time I saw Sloan live was a few years ago on their Twice Removed 20th anniversary tour. I was really excited about seeing them at the Confederation Centre...it was terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE. Easily one of the worst shows of any band I've ever seen.

I let Sloan slip to the side after "Never Hear the End of It". I loved Action Pact (and all 90's Sloan), and when "Never Hear" came out I think I found the 30 songs too much to digest in a sitting and never gave it a proper chance to percolate before moving on. Based on the four links that Scotty posted above, I'm going to jump back in. As for seeing the band live, I've somehow missed them over the past 20 years. I think my last Sloan show was in the UNB cafeteria sometime in the late 90's.

Listened to this on my commute. To be honest, nothing really struck me after one listen except for the last track.
Also, put me down as a huge fan of The Double Cross. Traces is one of my all time favs (along with The N.S. and Sensory Deprivation)
