Makeshift is great. Lead never leaves your system no matter who you are.
The only thing that irks me is Gord changing the stress on ar-Tist to match "combat math". It doesn't sound clever enough to justify.
I do love the title, and "Here’s where I slowly close my eyes and say, I’m too drunk for this" is such a Gord Downie line.
I'm pretty bad at interpreting Hip songs, and often just enjoy individual lines for the wordplay, but is Makeshift about art VS war, and how both are ultimately improvised best-attempts?

To me, the exhaustion that Gord is able to convey into Summer (especially the 'wooo' at the end) saves it for me. There's at least 3 songs I'd vote for ahead of Summer.
On that note, bye bye Heart of the Melt.

This was tough for me; as I went through the songs, the one that seemed to stick with me the least was You're Everywhere but before voting, I went back and listened to it. Decided that while I enjoy Heaven, it is more deserving of a first round vote so went that route.

Had to go for Summer. Aside from a pretty reputable "WOAH" thrown in by Gord, the song really doesn't do anything for me.

Just keep piling up the votes for Heaven and Summer so that another song doesn't get the 10% and have to leave with those two miscreants.
I voted Heaven because the Woo! in Summer makes it less bad -- "difficult clattering madness" is a pretty apt description.
Whoever voted for Goodnight Josephine is clearly a lunatic.

I don't understand how anyone would feel the need to look past the first two songs to find a song to vote for. Heaven and Summer should be splitting 100% of the vote in this round.
