On to In Violet Light; very interested to see how these later albums play out with the voting.
So far our champions are:
EP - Smalltown Bringdown
UTH - New Orleans is Sinking
RA - Three Pistols
FC - Locked in the Trunk of a Car
DFN - Nautical Disaster
TATH - Ahead by a Century
LBU - Grace, Too
PP - Emperor Penguin
M@W - Lake Fever
Vote for the song you believe to be the weakest on In Violet Light and after 48 hours, we will remove the three songs that have the most votes. As before, a song must have at least 10% of the vote in order to be removed otherwise it will carry forward into the following round.
The poll will end Wednesday at 9:07am Eastern.
Happy voting!
Shane

Are you ready? Ready are you ready to lose? Are you ready? Ready are you ready to lose? And are you ready? Ready are you ready to lose? To lose. To lose. To lo-oo-se.
Replace "lose" with "love" and those are the actual lyrics folks.

This round was easy for me. "Are you Ready?" is, by a landslide, my least favourite on IVL.
I'm surprised that a few people think "Silver Jet" is the weakest offering on IVL. I didn't realize it was such a polarizing song until the IVL thread.
While we can probably pencil in "The Dire Wolf", "The Dark Canuck", and "Good Life" for the top three, I don't have a clue what the consensus would be on the other two to round out a top five.

I like every song on this album so this is actually a hard choice. I picked Leave, begrudgingly.

Are You Ready is arguably one of the worst things the Hip have ever committed to tape. Not surprised it's running away with this round.

So long, Silver Jet: one of the few Hip songs that I regularly skip when it shows up on a random shuffle.
Are You Ready would have been my second vote, not sure how that ended up as the first track on the album.
Really like the rest of the album beyond these two, though.

I voted All Tore Up. This round is gonna get tough.
I absolutely love Leave... can't believe people are voting for it in round 1 !

Someone thinks "Good Life'" is a weaker link than "Are You Ready"??? What sort of madness is this???

I think Good Life and Throwing Off Glass are my favourites on this album. "Still in spite of the cads, and the stoop-shouldered teens, I know I'm losing you, and I know what that means" might be one of my favourite GD lines, even if I did think "cads" was "cats" up until very recently

I'm surprised that Good Life has a vote and Use It Up doesn't. I really don't care for Use It Up.
