Congrats to Johnny, Paul, Gord, and Rob!
I think Gordie is smiling somewhere at the thought of an Astronaut, representing the Queen, handing out medals to Rock n Rollers.

Love the sly smirky smiles in this photo - especially Rob. Like they can't believe they are all dressed up for this adornment of pomp & circumstance earned from living out the ultimate fantasy version of their high school dream of playing often irreverent rock n roll in beer joints & festivals, getting the kick-drum loaded. Yeah they deafened the husband of the queen all right. Hell of a story these boys & their bar band from Kingston.

Watched the livestream at work - it looked like it physically pained Rob to stop smiling long enough for that photo to be taken.
Congrats to the boys!

For whatever crazy psychological reason I watched this video and the band members through my eyes were transformed to their younger selves. It seemed their subtle reactions were mimicking what their reaction could have been if this were 30 years ago. - "wtf are we getting this for...... geez, we're really gonna need to do something big now...."
In a very tragically hip way, as they've always been, humble regular dudes.

The look on Paul's face just screams "... and the best part of it all-- I'm not wearing any underwear."

Johnny is rocking the silver fox look. It really suits him.
