Worst blizzard in history of universe
#1

...well maybe there's worse ones on planets farther away from the sun, but this is BY FAR the worst blizzard I have seen in my dozen years in Canada. The province declared a state of emergency and it's not supposed to stop for another 12 hours. Everything is closed. I am amazed the power hasn't gone out - I mean I'm ASTONISHED the power hasn't gone out. There's FEET of snow everywhere and because I live on the bridge approach across the harbour, it's f*ckin' windy as hell! Unbelievable.

Last night I snapped a few pictures of the "brown storm" effect...I put them up on my website if you're interested. I want to go out and take a picture of how bad this storm is now, but I think it would be physically impossible to get a picture.

Check this shit out...that door is buried almost up to the knob (3 feet or more in the drift) and there's at least 40 cm of snow on the table, not counting what must have blown off the top...

Looks like what we suffered threw here about 2 weeks ago. I swear it was a blizzard everyday for a week! I don't think we got 50cm in snow in one day though! Ahh to live down South for 5 months a year..."drools".

Look at this...this is what I see from INSIDE MY KITCHEN (or perhaps I should say what I don't see). This snowdrift against the window is thick, it's just just a thin layer of snow...and it's SEVEN FEET HIGH.

and yes, it's that dark in there...you can't see anything out the other window.

I don't know how many pictures I can support here (and where do I go to remove old posted pictures to free up space, Lance?) so I have moved everything to my website.

It may be nice here (ie. S. Ontario) now, but...

Nothing like our friends out east are getting, but freezing rain and snow is never good...and you just know if won't be enough to give us a day off work! :x

RUB IT IN?! What are you, freakin' nutz? I wouldn't trade this weather for +3 and sunny for all the money in the world! We were long overdue for a storm...we haven't had one in a month.

And when it hit, it cancelled classes today meaning my DREADED renaissance poetry midterm is cancelled too. And next week's our break week so we don't have to write it for TWO WHOLE WEEKS!!! Bwa ha ha ha ha!!!
