Yea, I was thrown off a bit by the edit as well. Cool intro though. Apparently this new series is going for a more realistic/darker feel than previous versions of the show, and it's being scripted by one of the writers from Breaking Bad. This ain't your mother's Anne of Green Gables.

Looking forward to watching this ... slightly disappointed at now missing out on the humongous surprise it would have been to hear the theme for the first time on the tv ... but hey ... still ... looking forward to it!

My wife started watching it last night, but I didn't think I could watch it; how do you remake a classic? The original was so good, why do it again? Well, I got hooked, as the actress who plays Anne is so good! I had to rewind to the beginning to hear the intro, and what a disaster! I know they can't play the whole song, but I thought it was poorly edited; the song felt rushed, like they were trying to pack all the emotion of the music into too short a clip, and it just didn't flow well at all, imo. Oh well...

So this premiered on Netflix today (outside Canada). Anyone know if they are using the ABAC theme in US and internationally? If this show gets a popular following it could be some new attention for the Hip although bittersweet.
