U2 is heading out on the road and playing The Joshua Tree in full this summer to celebrate the 30th anniversary of that album. Anyone planning to get (or at least try to get...) tickets to this? I'd rather they celebrated 25+ years of Achtung, Baby and played that album in full but it's hard to argue with the brilliance of The Joshua Tree. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, January 17th.

I'll probably try for either Vancouver or Seattle. I haven't seen these guys live since the Vertigo tour, so I'd love to try and catch them this time. I'd prefer they toured for a new album instead of doing the nostalgia thing, but like you said, it's hard to argue with The Joshua Tree. It would definitely be a treat to hear them play rare songs like Red Hill Mining Town, In God's Country, Exit, Trip Through Your Wires, etc..

Vertigo was the last tour I saw them on as well. I caught them in Boston where Bono had the crowd in the palm of his hand for two hours. I'm going to aim for the Toronto show on this tour.
As far as new stuff goes, these guys are the most infuriating band out there. Bono needs to listen to Ocean Next and the David Briggs line, "You think, you stink" and take a little of that to heart. I appreciate the focus U2 have on their craft but c'mon, release an album already! They're overthinking it. Bono said he had 50-60 songs written in 2009 around the time of the release of No Line on the Horizon and I believe they've made at least 3-4 albums (or parts of) since then with various producers like Rick Rubin, David Guetta, RedOne, Danger Mouse, etc. The volume of material these guys have tucked away is insane.

Bonnaroo live streams every year. Will be kicking back with a few cold ones and taking that set in live from my couch!

I grabbed a pair for Toronto today. Easy-peasy. Perks of being a Jays season ticket holder! I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg, so i'm second row, 500 level, directly across from the stage.

i'm fan club since 2000. scored 4 GA TO on 1st day of presale. one of the better fan clubs. imo. their annual membership gift is usually a++
and those $70 GA floors are gold. credit card entry. could have had red zone but won't pay over $200 for any rock show.
i'm good with them putting the album on hold cause it only means we will get another leg of this tour(another tour) soon enough.
songs of innocence was good+ and a great tour.
2nd leg of no line tour was achtung baby's 20th year and they hi lighted the TO show with a whack of nuggets from that great cd

Regarding wanting an AB album tour, that's sort of what the 2nd leg of the 360 tour was. They brought out some jems from AB and Zooropa. Oops, just saw saw the above post! Lol
I'll be trying for tickets at the general sale for Vancouver. Haven't seen then since 2011 which is way too long for me! Sounds like tickets were pretty easy to score in the presale which gives me hope!
