I have been listening and relistening to We Are The Next Us lately, which amazingly contextualizes (or vice versa) the outburst that the author records Downie having when discussing the penchant for elitist dismissal of the band's audience.

Cut to Gord alone on stage at the conclusion of these shows - the admiration of a man for his audience, and vice versa.

It is all perfect.
