merch lines were long as hell the first night, so getting there early is a good idea if you sont want the hassle

I know I can get the Gargoyle outside at 2:30pm but does anyone know if I can get the Hip jersey outside or just in the concourse at 2:30pm as well?

From my observations:
They take plastic at the outdoor booths. Can get both the official stuff (Jerseys, tour shirts, etc) at one outside and plain t-shirts (the not official but authorized stuff I guess) at the other in the concourse between the arena and Union Station. The official stuff is available inside at the regular souvenir stands and in the team store.
For the outdoor stuff they had it ready to go at 2-2:30 for London, not sure for Toronto. Line up for merch was going in London at about 1:30, and stayed long close to show time.
If you want the official stuff and are there early, the lines seem shorter inside as not everyone has wandered into the building yet. After it's a zoo it seems.

At the ACC, make sure you stop in Real Sports Apparel (the Leafs/Raptors store) and head to the back. They are selling a crapload of Hip stuff back there, that isn't at the other merch tables. i.e., mainly it's stuff in sizes they are trying to self off.

According to the Facebook fan page, Bang On at Queen and Spadina's selling the "retro" Hip shirts (like the gargoyle and the pigeon camera) at their location as well as at the shows.
