Johnny In London
#1

To those that don't know, Johnny left the stage abruptly after the first encore, didn't stay with the band for goodbyes, and didn't come back on the encore, causing the band to play Fiddlers without him and cut the set short by not playing Little Bones.

Anyone with knowledge have any insight on this? I'm hoping he's OK!

It seemed like his drums kept cutting out in the mix maybe. One of the sound guys kept running over to try to fix things, and it did look like Johnny was getting pissed. I could be wrong, but this seemed like the reason to me.

thought it was odd the set was cut one short

then thought the reason was fiddlers was so heavy last night that they just felt it was the perfect ending

If he's anything like me, he probably had too much pizza and the lactose intolerance wouldn't let him return from the bathroom on time!

I'm not too concerned about this, the official twitter feed posted a "see you in Toronto" tweet.

Hopefully, the source is Facebook, where they think Rob Baker is the drummer :what

To me, there is no way he doesn't stay to say goodbye, even if his drums are fucked up.

I was right behind the centre of the stage and when Johnny left he was fist pumping, smiling, and clapping to us in the stands as he was going down the stairs. Didn't seem like there was anything wrong.

Hmmm.... First day back at the grind after a fun May 24 weekend in 2004, you were likely listening to the Hip all weekend, and getting fired up for the new album coming out in a month. Back at work recovering from the well-lubricated festivities, you for some reason googled the band and arrived here.

I bet there's a lot of TTH searches the day after long weekends in Canada!
