I think it was more in response to the guy's earlier tweet-

"You know what I thought of setlist from the hip in Calgary on Monday? Two words: shit sandwich. Spinal tap. Hopefully tonight is better"

Laughable ....

Haha, I love Rob's response. That guy must be one of those casual radio-rawk fans who stopped listening to them after 1998. Funny that he would complain about a setlist that featured no less than 10 of their most well-known "hit" songs:

Three Pistols
Twist My Arm
Fiddler's Green
Little Bones
Grace, Too
Poets
Bobcaygeon
Ahead By A Century
Boots or Hearts
Blow At High Dough

He's probably just pissed that they didn't play anything from FC.

So glad I read this all the way through. I was thinking, gee, that's kind of mean. Now I love it!

Any "fan" complaining about "obscure bullshit" on THIS tour, of all tours, is a sub-human MORON.

As for "Another Midnight," I don't think much of it. Downie was still finding his lyrical voice at that juncture IMHO.

Ugh.....what a tool (kids vs 50mc guy). This tour is amazing! Some serious thought and rehearsal must've went into the prep work for the these shows.... Personally, I am so darn thankful(as are 99.999999% of the fans). Myself and my daughter are making the trek from Michigan tomorrow (to London). I'll be happy with anything we get (because I know it will be heartfelt and unique....not a cookie cutter show)..... Speaking of which, we've all seen those type of shows (festivals and such) and they are great. However, a band this damn good deserves to dig into their catalog. There are NO clunkers or throwaways....so play anything I say! (ok maybe one or two from the EP represent the infancy and growing of the band).....but doggone it....I'd dig hearing Last American Exit or Smalltown.....or Sherpa, Everytime You Go, Impossibilium, Emperor Penguin.....etc.

It's a long shot, but how cool would it be to see them dust off Small Town Bringdown or Last American Exit for the Kingston show. Pretty safe to say our heads would collectively explode.

Definitely a long shot but..... I'll bet if those weren't rehearsed for the tour, I'd bet the band at least discussed it. Man o man...it would be cool to hear Robbie play that slide riff to LAE.... :thumb:
