This email from eBay brought a smile to my face.

My initial theory was that very few hip fans (only the travellin men/women with escape @ hand) would be shelling out the outrageous asking prices following the ticketmaster debacle.

With just over a month to go I hope some scalpers are starting to get antsy.

For the kingston show, Currently 350 tickets are listed on stubhub. The cheapest is $379 usd per ticket BEFORE fees. Everything <$550 usd is behind the stage.

There are 48 Kingston floors listed on stubhub: 4 tickets in FLR1, 9 in FLR 4, 12 in FLR 5, 19 in FLR 6, and 4 in FLR 7 & 9. Asking prices between $900-2500USD, with a couple of singles slightly cheaper.

If stubhub supplies sold ticket data, I am not familiar enough with their scum site to access it.

For some comparison, here are all of the ticket auctions that have SOLD on eBay. 20 in total. Sorted highest to lowest:

Platinum prices for Victoria have started to drop; highest ticket was $850 a couple of days ago and now are down to "only" $775.

If you're going to be patient, keep checking Ticketmaster for ticket drops. The problem with 3rd party sites is that many tickets don't ever get close to face value before showtime. Many of the ticket brokers sell so many tickets at ridiculously marked up prices that they don't care if they end up having some tickets go unsold.

Two weeks from my post, there are currently 292 Kingston tickets listed on stubhub. The cheapest is $318 usd per ticket BEFORE fees. 18 tickets have now dropped at or below $379 usd, which was the cheapest ticket when I made my post.

There are now 43 Kingston floors listed on stubhub: 9 tickets in FLR 4, 12 in FLR 5, 14 in FLR 6, 4 in FLR 7 & 9. Asking prices vary between 675-1700 for the most part. With a couple optimistic scalpers still north of that. $900 was the cheapest floor pair two weeks ago, there is now a pair for $695 and another for $800.

In case I made this image too small to read, here are the very encouraging eBay sales from my original post.

Victoria pair in 116 row U for $151
Vancouver lowers: 3 @ $340, a pair < $200, another pair < $150, good lowers pair for $300, a rear view pair for $39!!!
A saddledome pair in 218 row 16 for $75, another below $112
2 for the peg @ $151.

For the Ontario shows:
Kingston side stage pair sold @ best offer below $999.
Toronto single first row in the 300s for $135, a pair in 104 row 14 for $450, 4 in 319 for $544.
Ottawa pair for $350.

Stay patient :thumb:

On twitter last night I saw a post advertising 12 Calgary tickets "at cost" -- in some ways I hope fans get these, in others hope the person takes a loss and gets stuck with couple grand in unsold tickets.

Will be trying to get a pair for August 3rd in Calgary last minute. I have decent seats for the Monday show, and Wednesday I'm just hoping to be in the building (of course the closer the better)

The other thing in our favour is that there are an inordinate number of singles - theses guys were just grabbing everything - and the majority of concert goers don't want to attend by themselves.

That bodes well for people like us who have no problem with that - I see prices dropping a lot for the Hamilton show especially....Toronto may still stay high, and Kingston is likely the toughest one - but you have to figure if you wait until a day or two before the show the prices will reach reasonable levels

I bought a single for toronto too early - money gone, but i shouldn't have jumped the gun...

Now looking for an at cost or lower single for toronto shows or hamilton
