We did ask them to play it one time in 2000 at a small album release show were the band was taking questions.
Gord said " we don't know it."

I would have then seen the last live performance - totally don't remember it. My main memory from that show was the cool video background for yawning and snarling and daredevil.

Makes you wonder what the deal with this song is. I don't know any Hip who doesn't love it, yet it seems to have slipped through the cracks of Hip history - never recorded in studio, never officially released, seemingly forgotten by the band. If it weren't limewire, I may never have heard it.

I believe this is a studio version. Hip museum says that it was recorded for Road Apples but not included in the final release. Maybe this is that version.

I think it is a really good song. I remember hearing it during the Misty Moon broadcast and waiting for it to appear on an album. Wonder if maybe the band thought is was a bit too close to some Up To Here material for Road Apples, then by the time FC came around the had newer songs that fit that acoustic vein (Wheat Kings, Pigeon Camera).

There are a really good sounding version in the archive.

That version was recorded for the Swinging On A Star program on the CBC. Gord and Paul played an acoustic set.

However, it was recorded for Road Apples. The Road Apples demos that made it online excluded Get Back Again and Times Are Passing Us By, although the "alt-country" version of Times did eventually see the light of the internet and is circulating.

I seem to recall a story about a bunch of Hip fans camping out either before or after a show and Gord S and Rob?? walked up to their campsite, sat down with them around the fire and banged out Get Back Again among other tunes too.

I'm remembering reading somewhere that Fiddler's Green took its place...?

Good song but clearly a b-side compared to the rest of Road Apples.
