Alright folks, for some its been a very frustrating day. I get that, and dont blame anyone for being frustrated or even down right pissed off. But we need to watch out for all the conspiracy nutters who seem to be taking over on facebook groups and elsewhere online suggesting that there is something unusual going on with the way ticket sales are being handled here. The truth of the matter is, there is a higher demand for this Hip tour than there likely ever has been in the past. Much of the country is trying to see them "one last time" after having taken them for granted for YEARS. Being pissed that tickets are ending up in the hands of re-sellers (ie scalpers) like stubhub and not in the hands of fans is warranted, however we need to realize that this is happening to a much lesser extent with this tour than the vast majority of major concerts as a result of paperless tickets in prime seating locations. All of this frustration is also being capitalized on by sleazebags like alan cross because he knows it will help get him "clicks" which leads to ad revenue. Tickets ending up in the hands of resellers is nothing new and happens at every major event, yet this prick is trying to act like hes surprised its happening here. So lets end on a positive note. Heres why those of us who were shut out today need to take a deep breath:
1) Only 20% of tickets per show were released to the presale this morning
2) There are additional shows being added in several markets
3) Our fellow fans WILL end up with extra tickets and hook some of us up at face value
4) Tickets for almost every concert ever get released in the weeks leading up to the show date and these often include the best seats in the house.
5) paperless ticketing takes away a huge portion of the ticket pool from scalpers. Despite what people keep parroting online, you cant sell paperless credit card entry tickets.
