2016 Music Festivals & Concerts
#1

So we now know the lineups for Wayhome, Ottawa Bluesfest, Osheaga (with more summer announcements to come I'm sure).
Also, some big tours coming through this summer.

Has anyone else started planning what they want to check out this summer?

I'm kicking off the summer with Pearl Jam in Ottawa. And I'm also attending Bluesfest this summer (WOLF PARADE).

What are you guys checking out?

Ben Harper is coming to Bluesfest! Can't wait! Caught him at Osheaga last year.
Have fun at Osheaga! Remember, the side entrance is always less crowded.
And if you show up between 2:30 and 4:30... expect a massive crowd.
Not making it to Oshie this year, but looks like a decent lineup... and they just added Death Cab yesterday! Have fun!

Splurged on the 3-Day Platinum VIP tix this year which among other perks looks like gets you access to part of the media pit on every stage. Very stoked!

Rock on the Range!

Was there two years ago, so much fun I had to go again.

Plus its only a 5hr drive from here, I was considering Heavy Montreal but this lineup is better and its closer.

Not a huge name event (but good ticket prices and usually a good time), the annual "Rockfest" is happing again in good ol'e Bellvegas. Being local, I think we will hit up the Thursday show for Sam Roberts & Glorious Sons and Saturday for Dennis DeYoung. $39 a pop, why not.

I'm going to What The Fest in Brantford to see Billy Talant and others.
Then To Burlington for the Cult and Glorious Sons and Headstones, I got front row VIP for this show.
Then off to Quebec City for FEQ festival for 10 days of band after band after band all for $90 oh yea Chili Peppers are gonna be there too along with George Thourogood and The Destroyers, plus about 100 other bands, to many to mention, Cheryl Crow, Sting, Peter Gabriel.
Hopefully a few Hip shows to end out a summer tour season with tears.

I might go to Rockfest for Sam Roberts. Hitting CBC Music Festival tomorrow, Bluesfest (July 10/16/17), and was going to go to Riverfest Elora but it falls on the same weekend as the Kingston Hip show so if anything, I'll just head up for Sunday. Wish I'd known before buying a full weekend pass and camping. Wink

Just bought a day ticket for Osheaga. I generally hate festivals, but I will make an exception for Radiohead. I feel like I get to see them as frequently as I see Halley's Comet.
