I just got the blue ray of R40 Rush 40th anniversary of first studio album. This is likely the last tour Rush will ever do, most certainly is probably their last concert DVD. Studio albums, ya never know. Niel Peart is hurting these days its sad to see. He soo great! I can watch him beat drums all fucking day!
But Rush still kicks ass. Musically still on top of their game and i recommend this dvd. (along with rush in rio, R30, Snakes and Arrows DVD and Clockwork DVD).
They covered almost all their albums besides like test for echo, hold your fire and power windows (i think).
Highlights were:
1. Opening with Anarchist.
2. Animate
3. Roll the Bones (Bubbles/TPB singing along)
4. Losing It
5. natural Science
6. Jacobs Ladder
7. Cygnus X-1
8. Xanadu
9. 2112 (just like first part and last part i think)
Woulda have liked to see a song or two from Test for Echo and no limelight. but still fantastic performance from a great band.
