I was told by a Canadian music artist that the house was sold due to him and his wife splitting.
None of my business and I feel weird posting about it but I was told by someone in the know.
Sad considering what we learned through NFPA.

Hmm. Well, Gord's private life is none of my business. I hope the 'divorce' rumour is not true, because he seems like such an emotionally vulnerable guy.

But photos of this house pretty much settle a question I raised on this board years ago, namely

Are the Hip rich?

This is not the home of a super-rich gaziollionaire, but it is absolutely the home of wealthy people (members of the "1%"). Whatever the economics of today's music biz, even a CanCon-only star like Gord, with minimal appeal beyond our borders, has done pretty damned nicely for himself. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I realize you can find this info and discussion pretty easily on the Internet and The Hip's Facebook page but because it's in the "personal" territory I think this topic should be off-limits here.

They were the "cats ass" at the beginning of their career. It was very tough to get a ticket for this band back in the day. They made it and reaped the rewards. They don't need to work again in terms of money.
In terms of divorce or separation....isn't 70% of the country separated or divorced? Who cares?

It is nice. I'm guessing he doesn't own dogs. I need to hire his cleaning crew.

Only clue its his house is at the 37 second mark. But then again that could probably be found on the walls of a house owned by anyone on this forum too!

Bottle of Fully wine in the kitchen
Downie pics on the wall
NFPA art laying around
Guitar in bedroom and livingroom
Could be my house.

Just replaced the view of the CN Tower with a view of a cell phone tower.
