Years ago on the Hip's "old" website, I remember there was a single song video from EVERY show. They had obscure album stuff like So Hard Done By and even some REALLY obscure stuff like Montreal - great quality video, one song per show Does anybody still have these?? Is there any archive site that has them? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I doubt the article is 100% fiction, though. Sure, the fight is made up of course, but I'd be suprised if the whole article was made up. I hope the dcumentary surfaces - I bet it would be interesting to see.

Did you guys get these videos to work? i tried and could not get them to open! There's programs that capture RM video files and maybe we could make a compilation DVD of all of them. That's the reason i tried to get at them a few weeks ago. Whaddaya'all think??

I did just that a couple years ago. Ripped the RM to MPEG-1 and made a VCD out of half the videos that has menus and plays on a dvd player. I think theres a couple copies floating around out there i traded away. I intended to do a volume 2 but never got around to it.

I could upload an iso of the VCD and the rest of the MPEGs somewhere if you guys want.

...and uploading the videos is even more appealing now that it is apparent that they aren't available for viewing from the website anymore... has anybody else gotten the connection error from Real Player?

OK the upload is up and running to ftp.thehundredthmeridian.com, although its taking only 6KB/s of my 1Mb/s upload pipe from Cogeco Cable :thumb:. Anybody know if theres an upload login with more bandwidth? If not it'll be a couple days until its all up there.

I'm U/Ling an .iso of the VCD right now and the rest of the video clips in individual MPEG-1 format after. I also still have them in original RM format if anyone is interested. They would no doubt be better for conversion to DVD MPEG-2.

No, I checked last night. They have weird names so I figured they were the ones not on the VCD, but they were. I used to have all the RM files on my hip harddrive, but it took a crap a year ago taking with it about every show ever put on the net.
The ones I have now were transfered to my main drive for conversion, so thats the only reason they survived.

As it stands, I have 13 original RM files and 17 (13 same as the rm)converted MPEG-1 files that remain. I upped the vcd and the MPEGs on on their way to THM FTP right now at a reasonable 60KB/s, I can up the RM files there as well if they're of any use to ya.

As for conversion, I used EO Video's joiner/converter tool, it has a 30 day trial. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.eo-video.com/">http://www.eo-video.com/</a><!-- m --> Not sure if it does MPEG-2 though.
It works but it takes forever. I remember my P3 800mhz converting for the better part of 2 days for that VCD.
