#1

Hey all -

I finally got around to downloading a few GD solo shows, and damn! These shows are awesome!

Anyone have a strong opinion on the best few shows? I'm getting MTL right now and it is great. any input appreciated -

I thought the Dundas gig was pretty Kool and the Gang............High Voltage Rock N Roll........

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Higher Ground Vermont is wicked...11 minute "When You Dance" and all...WOW. I loves me some Higher Ground!!

Ottawa Bluesfest is way too short (it was a 50 minute show and the first 2 songs are gone) but it's great too.

I would have to say the dundas is the best- alot of cool rants thrown in and lees palace theres some good quotes thrown in --- Early on in the tour gord stuck mainly to his original songs but as it grew he threw in more covers-- My fav song"the never ending present" was only played once the whole tour in buffalo-- theres another boot thats a couple years old that is great too !

The Lee's Palace show was killer... from the frat boys who treated Vancouver Divorce like it was New Orleans is Sinking, to the Tonight's The Night cover, to the "well fuck you then, don't come" line, probalby my favourite Gord show I've been too.

Best Gord bootleg out there is the one from TT the Bears from the CMG tour. Two Neil Young covers, a Dinner Is Ruined Song, early versions of Figment, Pascal's Sub, Christmastime, Steeplechase, We're Hardcore, and the "Don't Mind Me Jesus" gospel hym (which I saw him sing as apart of 11th Fret the day before in Guelph).

Cheers,

Pat

The Cambridge show from the Middle East Club was awesome. I recommend it if you can tune out the screaming girl from the back of the club. Confusedcratch: (which wasn't me........)
