Very cool! The Hip have enough material, live recordings and side projects to have their own station all the time on Sirius.

wow awesome, I spend most of my workday listening to sirius anyway so I know where I'll be tuned into come Sep 29!

This is great but sucks just the same. Iceberg is not on the mobile or online version in the States. I can get it with my car reciever but that's it. I've been bitching about that since I got it in '05

Exclusive interviews with the band and artists they have influenced will be broadcast
TORONTO, Sept. 24, 2012 /CNW/ - SiriusXM Canada (TSX: XSR), the country's leading audio entertainment company, today announced that, The Tragically Hip, will take over SiriusXM channel 151 from September 29 to October 2. The special broadcast celebrates The Tragically Hip's music and career, as well as the release of the band's new album, Now for Plan A, which will be released on October 2.
The takeover will include the band's recordings from the past and present, including catalogue favourites, and rare tracks. The band's new album, Now for Plan A, will also debut in its entirety throughout the weekend. On top of studio material, SiriusXM subscribers will also be able to rock out twice a day to live concert recordings from various venues across North America.
Exclusive interviews with the band, including Gord Downie, Gord Sinclair, Robbie Baker, Johnny Fay and Paul Langlois are also part of the takeover and will be broadcast from Toronto and "The Bath House," the official studio of The Tragically Hip. The special broadcast will also feature interviews with other famous Canadian artists, whose careers have been influenced by band, including Matt Mayes, The Arkells, The Sheepdogs, and Yukon Blonde.
