I went to this last year, great venue, and atmosphere, super close parking and you can basically walk right up to front and center stage and just take pictures. Lots of older folks who sit back on their lawnchairs.

Just 35 seconds - is that too little to still like a song?

I've got a feeling there's a taper at this show.

Here's Fire in the Hole (watch at your own risk - I'm definitely no professional):

I really like this event, I went last year too. Mix Master Mike this year was awesome.

Items of note: Gavin Brown was on drums with Sarah Harmer; Gord did a fantasic job on the Sadies' songs; the funniest line I've ever heard from the audience was: "Gord, what's the symbolism of the bandana?" Gord started to sing a song about it, but ended it with: "I sweat. That's all".

Day should be broadcast/played on cbcmusic.ca at some point.

Great day.

Gord and the Sadies were amazing. They played a few covers (Jonny Cash, Neil Young, Guided by Voices, Roky Erickson), Fire in the Hole, Figment, and (I'm pretty sure) a bunch of originals that we're really really great.

I thought the set was weak. A tad self indulgent. The event is spectacular. Surprised GD didn't make an appearance for Silver Road. I love the Sadies, and love the Hip, but this combo failed to take flight.

Nope! I heard enough and it sounded pretty great. The Sadies could play with Oscar the Grouch though and it would still blow you away, having Gord up there with them is just a bonus.
