I was at the Trews show the other night in Winnipeg and they had a special guest come out for a couple of songs. Out walks God Sinclair (I don't know what he was doing in the Peg) but either way it was pretty cool. He played acoustic guitar for Misery Loves Company and Dreaming Man. In the middle of Dreaming man, they covered about two thirds of Let's Stay Engaged. For the encore, Gord came out again for a cover of The Weight and Rockin' in The Free World. It was a special treat for the crowd for sure.

Very cool!!
The Trews have covered songs such as "Get Back Again," "Thugs" and now "Let's Stay Engaged" during various shows. Hip covers are cool, but rare hip covers are even cooler!

I was at the show too, and it was an awesome surprise to have Gord walk out on stage! No idea what he was doing in Winnipeg either, but I was ecstatic to see him! I tried to find Gord after the gig, and was hoping to chat, but no dice.

that's pretty cool if he just came out here to play with them. I guess he had a hand in producing their latest album. Either way, it was a pretty nice treat to see him walk out. Maybe on their next tour, they could get the Trews to open!

He also played a few songs with them 2 nights later in Thunder Bay...looks like he's traveling with them for a bit. I'll be shocked if he doesn't play a few tunes at at least one of the Toronto shows this weekend at Queen Elizabeth Theatre
