Was anyone else watching the Senators play the Thrashers tonight? Neither was I , but I just happened to flick through and caught "Blow at High Dough" playing on the loud speaker. I suppose I wouldn't have thought much of it, but they were playing in Atlanta! The crowd was dancing along with a couple security guards. Anymore fuel for that fire, the Hip would be the next 'Loverboy' in the U.S.

I know!! I was so thrilled, I thought for a minute my computer had started playing the song!
What a heck of a game...the Senators quickly went down 3-0 and looked DOOMED but now they're leading 5-3. GO SENS!!!!

Man, I watched the game, and I'm always alert for a Hip song whenever I do... but I missed BAHD... although I missed the first 10 minutes of the third period... I went to get beer... I do hear a lot of Hip in Buffalo though... that kinda makes me smile cause I don't hear any in Ottawa. Which makes me wonder... are Buffolonians more intelligent than Ottawonians? That just can't be... GO SENS GO... TURN THAT SHIT AROUND...

I've heard Hip songs at many venues, most surprising so far was at a Dallas Stars game!

It's good lively music so why would it be a surprise that it's being played? Maybe because it's the US? Would actually be refreshing since every rink that i've played in, (when I played Midget AAA and Junior A hockey) had the same damn music. Different is good.

I wonder if any of that has to do with Pat Downie being the music dude for the Bruins...maybe he's introduced the Hip to other hockey arena music people.
Back during the World Juniors, I went and saw Canada vs. Sweden and they used clips from Twist My Arm. A great song considering how well known the Hip are in Sweden! They've even got one of the best boots of all time...

It was not a at a hockey game, but I was in a small bar in New York City back in March and as I was flipping through the juke box, they had "Up To Here" in there. Nothing beat sitting and listening to NOIS in Manhatton.
