Cuff the Duke (official thread)

I'm spinning this right now and it's bloody brilliant. Dare I say, best thing they've done yet? If you've never seen these guys live, do yourself a favor and check them out. One of the best live shows around. Tour dates can be found here:

Awesome show in Calgary last night. The set was heavy on the new material, but they sprinkled in plenty of older stuff as well for the diehards. Some great crowd sing-a-longs, especially during "Follow Me" and a rip roaring version of "Take My Money and Run". Other highlights were an incredible version of "Ballad of a Lonely Construction Worker" and a really cool cover of Gordon Lightfoot's "Alberta Bound" during the encore. After the show I headed straight to the merch table and picked up a vinyl copy of the new record. It's pretty sweet:

Wow, wicked show last night in Victoria. Well the sound was terrible but that was the venue's fault. Set started off promoting the new album then turned into an audience request-a-thon for the back end of the show. Forgot how much fun these guys are. Would love to see them again already.

New album is out Oct. 2nd. I may have to invest in the limited edition green vinyl:

Just picked up Union yesterday and I've listened to it 3 times already. It's really, really good! Can't wait to see them live later this month. I've never seen them before.

Yup, another stellar album. Side by Side, Where Did We Go Wrong, and Open Your Mind are my early favorites, but the entire album is excellent. Not too many bands out there who are as consistently awesome as these guys. I saw them here in Calgary last week and they were fantastic as usual. Great band. Here's hoping they continue for many years.

I couldn't agree more...they really are one of the best bands going.
The albums are all amazing and their live show is even better. I can't
understand why they aren't bigger than they are. Hopefully this album
will change that.

Here's a band I need to catch up on. I'm only familiar with the first three. That first album... man.
